hogeland family ranch
Our Story
Our family has lived in the area for close to 40 years. Growing up in Northern SLO County, we have always loved the land and the rich agricultural opportunities it provides. Having a love for animals of all shapes and sizes, we always dreamed of owning land and raising animals. Over the past decade, we have been able to see our dreams come true! Living on our 300+ acre property, we have been blessed to be able to have cats, dogs, chickens, bees, horses, and cows. Grammy Hogeland has an interest in raising bees. The honey harvested from her bees is delicious! One of her daughters is an avid baker who bakes and sells cookies in her spare time. Known as “The Cookie Snob” she believes that no one should ever have to eat day-old cookies and prides herself in providing fresh baked cookies. Over the past few years, we have been able to acquire several head of cattle. Our plan is to breed and raise them for beef. We love learning about and caring for the animals we have here. We also love having fun! Our family loves sports, camping, and hiking. It’s not uncommon to see one of us riding a quad, motorcycle, or horse out on the property. Some of our favorite things to do here on the ranch are having outdoor movie nights, BBQs, and spending time with our family and friends. Living here provides us with all the things we love, and we are so grateful! We have been greatly blessed, and are so happy that we can share our little piece of heaven with you.

Venture into the Haunted Forest, where thick fog creeps along the trail and strange whispers echo from the ancient, gnarled trees. Watch for lurking shapes that shift in the mist, and keep your eyes sharp as the shadows seem to breathe with an eerie life. You will feel the unmistakable sensation that the forest itself is watching your every move as you travel deeper into the dark woods. This is a vivid and intense experience for the whole family, but tread softly—in these woods, the trees themselves are always awake.
